La revista española mejor posicionada es Comunicar con un factor de impacto de 3,338 situada en la novena posición (primer cuartil) mientras que El profesional de la información, la otra revista española en el ranking, se encuentra en el puesto número 44 (segundo cuartil) con un factor e impacto de 1,505.
Hay que destacar que son 88 las revistas de comunicación en este JCR ya que International Journal of Mobile Communications ha sido expulsada de la clasificación por un alto número de autocitas.
Las últimas posiciones las ocupan las publicaciones británicas African Journalism Studies (puesto 86) y Journal of African Media Studies (87) mientras que la revista holandesa Tijdschrift Voor Communicatiewetenschap se sitúa en la última posición (88) con un factor de impacto de 0.086.
